Lots of Happenings Pt. 2

Rebekah, Delaney, and I decided that a grocery store is just...too expensive for certain items so we went to the market down the street again.

Well, we got lunch first. We went to A Twosome Place and, though it's good and all, it's a very expensive place. Their desserts are nice though.

At the market, we got eggs for cheap, rice cakes, oranges, strawberries, and vegetables. We got potatoes (like the little Yukon Gold ones), a bag full of peeled garlic cloves, a bag of onions, mushrooms, and a cluster of green onions. Someone in our dorm stole our green onions though...

But our biggest and best purchase of the day was this!

We got....actually I forgot how many pounds of steak it was, but it was roughly $17 and this was a while ago but we still have some in the freezer. It's pretty good too and the guys at the meat stall were nice while we struggled with our Korean. Tip for shopping next time: learn some meat phrases and how to ask 'which one tastes the best?'

THESE. I had been eyeballing these little bad boys for a while now and I finally bought them. They are so delicious. They're soft and yummy and it almost tastes like coffee even though it's chocolate and cream. It's so good. I bought another box on my last shopping trip...

Our first stirfry concoction with the delicious steak we got! I was so satisfied...

I got apple juice as well and well... I mean it wasn't terrible, but it's not delicious either. The apple juice I had when I went to Seoul with those two guys was soooo much better. Oh well, worth a shot!

Kimbap! Great kimbap that's less than $2 and is perfect when you have no money. It's best when warm and when purchased from Dasan Hall. I've gotten it so often...

I'm in love with the sky if you hadn't noticed.

The beauty that is Seolbing (설빙)!! I've been to this place 3 times already and I am in love. We had the premium strawberry cheese seolbing and the chocolate seolbing. The strawberry one is honestly so beautifully amazing. And when you add the condensed milk to the ice, it's perfect. This one is really different from White Snow because White Snow has chunks of ice whereas Seolbing has really fine powdery ice. It's so good! I foresee going back there many times.

Wow I really want meat.

The flowers have bloomed! I honestly have so many pictures of these darn trees and I know I'll only continue to take more and more. But this is when they first started to bloom everywhere!

Also, we finally got our university jackets! Sadly, it says exchange student on the back in Korean and well...it's not common here to have Korean on clothes, actually it's really weird to have Korean words on clothing. So. I've seen many people laugh at us...this one girl didn't even hide it, just flat out read it and laughed at Rebekah's jacket while we were chillin' outside of Subway. Rude... But I mean, as if it isn't obvious we're foreign exchange students. Would have been a little cool to have our major on it, even if it's not my real major (actually it's only a major for foreign exchange kids I think). Either way, it'll be cool back home in America, not so much here. Plus it's too hot for it now...

MY NAAAAAME

Maybe if I wear this on my campus, the Korean exchange students won't be so timid and might approach me instead of chill with their own little cluster. How nice that would be.

Literally so many pictures of these trees and beautiful flowers. Honestly if we had these on Milwaukee's campus....every day ten new pictures of them, haha!

Subway! Basically tastes the same which is great. They have a lot of the same sandwiches too. Actually, I don't think I saw anything unique there, but then again I was more focused on how HOT that little place was.

Please lord do not tell me that that is mint flavored Sprite because that is just disgusting. I almost want to buy it to try it.

I bought some really cute stationary things. I want to buy a lot more before I leave so I can go to school next semester with the cutest stuff and totally feel great about learning.

Love it~

And I'm going to end this here because literally the entire next blog post will be nothing but cherry blossoms....
